Kim Hill, Group Director
The Sustainable Transportation and Communities (STC) group concentrates on the long-term viability and sustainability of the auto industry, the surface transportation system, and the communities that lie at the heart of both the industry and the system. STC research focuses on economic and other impacts of federal, state, and other policies on industry, system function, and communities, as well as on how the automotive sector, the transportation system, and communities can work and collaborate to sustain each other. This group also manages the Automotive Communities Program, designed to link the major traditional centers of automotive activity to each other and to the changing North American industry in order to improve the likelihood of regional automotive renewal.
